Legit reissue of his mega collectable 14 track Outsider folk LP from the early 1970s plus six bonus tracks. Definitely in the league of troubled songsmiths like Syd Barret, Skip Spence, and Roky Erickson. Out of print, but I just scored 10 more copies. $18.

MARGO GURYAN—TAKE A PICTURE  New!
Elusive and extraordinary femme pop psych album from 1968 which sank without a trace that’s jam packed with brilliant arrangements, breathy sexy vocals, and songwriting in the vein of Eternities Children, Curt Boettcher, and The Mamas & the Papas (FYI Margo wrote Spanky & Our Gang’s hit “Sunday Morning” and her magical version is included here). Gorgeous legit package from the mastertapes with notes and pix galore that includes her entire 11-track LP plus 3 worthy bonus cuts. Oh yeah, the original disc was produced by John Hill who was the brains behind the Riders of the Mark 45 (but that’s another story). $16. *

MARGO GURYAN—25 DEMOS  New!
Lovely collection of her polished demo recordings featuring alternative versions of most of her “Take A Picture” LP plus lots more stellar unissued tracks. These have a stripped-down production but her genius songwriting and lyricism shine through and her breathy voice is reminiscent of a female Colin Blunstone. This is the perfect compliment to her legendary album with 16 of the tracks from the ’60s, 9 from the ’70s, plus one from 2000 (although that song dates back to 1966!) First-rate package with informative notes and lyrics. $16. *
