SOUNDS INTERESTING is a new, state-of-the-art 24-track digital recording studio designed for the serious artist and client. Situated on over five acres of rural land in Southeastern Massachusetts, the location and aesthetic appeal is second to none. The facility is suited for multiple-day block bookings and is the ideal creative retreat.

The ground floor houses the two-tiered 16 x 24 studio and a spacious 18 x 20 floating control room. Both rooms are acoustically designed with tall ceilings, stretched fabric, special acoustic brick, sophisticated soffit work, oak flooring and a 5 x 7 double glass window separating the two spaces. The studio also has a window and French door which opens out to a patio and a large field where horses graze.

On the main floor are two large rooms with cathedral ceilings and pine flooring; a comfortable 16 x 30 lounge furnished with Victorian antiques and sleeper sofas along with a 20 x 20 office. In addition, there are two bathrooms (one full and one half), two closets and a tile floor mud room. Pine floors, exposed beams and oriental rugs add to the overall "Country Inn" decor. The main floor is wired with sixteen tie-lines that make it possible to utilize each space as an isolation chamber. There is also a glorious deck that overlooks Middleborough's two-thousand acre Great Cedar Swamp.

For more extensive lodging, there are two local bed and breakfasts nearby along with a Days Inn at the Middleborough rotary off Route 495. Many fine restaurants, shopping, and the quaint downtowns of Middleborough, Halifax and Plympton are all within a five-mile radius. The beautiful seaport of Plymouth is situated twenty-five minutes to the east while Boston and Providence are each an hour away.

Sounds Interesting is accessible by train from Boston's South Station on the Old Colony line. Both the Halifax (off the Plymouth/Kingston line) and the Middleborough stops (off the Middleborough/Lakeville line) are equidistant and five miles away. Service runs seven days a week from the early morning to the late evening. Pick-ups and drop-offs can be coordinated with the studio.

Since 1978, Sounds Interesting has been owned and operated by Erik Lindgren. Prior to constructing his new facility in Middleborough, Mr. Lindgren ran Sounds Interesting out of Cambridge for nineteen years.

In addition to his engineering and production skills, Lindgren is a charter member of the new music ensemble Birdsongs Of The Mesozoic and runs ARF! ARF Records, a respected reissue label with over four-dozen releases. As a commercial producer, Lindgren has scored music for The Christmas Tree Shops, Avco Embassy Films, Cumberland Farms, Showcase Cinema, Digital Equipment Corporation, Polaroid, The Boston Globe, Jordan Marsh, Eastpak, PBS, and all three networks.
